Terry Acupuncture - Preventative healthcare

About Acupuncture

Acupuncture is one of the modalities of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM).  It consists of the insertion of fine needles into the body at specific points shown to be effective in the treatment of a variety of health problems.  These points have been mapped by the Chinese over a period of 3,000 years.  Today, acupuncture is receiving wide acceptance as a respected, valid, and effective form of health care.  Acupuncture and modern medicine combined have the potential to support, strengthen, and nurture a person back to vital health and well-being. I emphasize preventative care through TCM dietary therapy, stress management, and self-awareness.

Acupuncture is a safe modality for treating:

  • Post traumatic Stress
  • Gastrointestinal issues
  • Gynecological imbalances
  • Musculo-skeletal imbalances
  • Depression, anxiety, insomnia
  • Allergies, asthma and other respiratory problems
  • Arthritis, fibromyalgia, back pain and carpal tunnel
  • And many more physical, emotional and neurological issues

Acupuncture and Chinese medicine are a complement to Western medicine, and not a substitute for it.  If you suspect that you have a serious condition such as an infection, a malignant growth, or an injury that does not seem to heal, you will need to see a primary Western physician.
